Both are great. XF (also referred to as V6F) is a little more accurate and listed as a super rep. ZF is still great and NWBIG I think, but apparently slightly less accurate visually/externally. The other difference between the XF and ZF is that the XF uses Miyota 9015 movement whereas the ZF uses A2824 movement. Looking to get the "super rep" of the Tudor Pelagos from either V6F or XF with the A2824 movement. I'm not interested in the Miyota movement as it's loud. Unless someone can convince me that the Miyota movement is worth it over the A2824, I'm dead set on the A2824.
The TUDOR Pelagos collection features the ultimate divers' watches, including the Pelagos FXD. Browse the collection on the Official TUDOR site. If you're looking for a "serious" dive watch, the black Pelagos is really your go-to model from Tudor, as it lacks the playful blue color of the other Pelagos or the vintage styling, and lower water resistance, of the Black Bay. I purchased a Blue Pelagos V6F, and a Red Black Bay ZF. The bezel on the Pelagos is crap. It rotates left/right about 1mm, but most annoyingly it rotates so easily it gets misaligned just from normal wear.
• 2 yr. ago. NWBIG means that the original watch does not give you a measurable and significant advantage over the rep. If you have same materials, same construction, same frequency movement and overall great feel that watch is NWBIG. Pelagos has all that.
sadly my black XF Pelagos V3 is at the watchmaker for a service and to stiffen the bezel. The blue one is a ZF (according to RWI's [CONSENSUAL LIST] of Super Reps NWBIGs) the inferior one, the Tudor Pelagos V6F/XF V2/3/4 are considered so well made, it's not worth buying the gen. I've seen a few threads where people have asked about which Pelagos version is best or what the differences are between them. XF and ZF factories get most mention, so I hope this comparison will help those deciding between them. On the table are the two specimens, XF v5 on the left; ZF v2 on the right.
PureTime listed a new (V6F V4) Tudor Pelagos yesterday - https://puretime05.com/pelagos-v6f-.racelet-a5612-v4-free-black-rubber-strap.html. As much as I like the look of this watch I'm by no means an expert so if someone could shed some light on impovements from earlier models that would be much appreciated. Tudor Pelagos Review. The Pelagos is Tudor's highest-end diver, featuring their greatest depth rating, top-notch materials, and in the new version we're looking at today, it also features Tudor's first in-house movement, the MT5612. Couple those with this stunning new matte blue look and you've got an intriguing model on your hands. Both are great. XF (also referred to as V6F) is a little more accurate and listed as a super rep.
