Play Intense is unlike many fragrances to me. What it reminds me of more than anything are those chocolate oranges that slice open. The citrus is quite prominent in Play Intense, but not so much in Rochas Man. Both fragrances do sit closer to the skin, which is less common in the gourmand genre. That's about the only similarity I see.With Play Intense I get the pink pepper almost immediately, it makes my nose tingle a little. After 20ish minutes I get a dry and sweet coffee-tonka scent and that stays on my skin for the life of the fragrance. With Luna Rossa Black, I smell a warm and powdery vanilla. I don't get any spice like I do with Play Intense. Givenchy PLay and Intense were really nice, and on my skin the initial blast from the top notes were gorgeous, but the dry down vanilla and cinnamon or whatever kept me away like most Givenchy dry downs, like the HEWOOD line as well.
